Hubby just returned from reservist (night watch) in the morning. Instead of taking his deserved rest, he offered to drive baby to school and company me for breakfast-shopping-lunch. We headed to Rafflea City to satisfy his craving for Crossiant Aman @ Tiong Bahru Bakery as well as shop for his CNY shirts.
I ordered a Raisin Crossiant with a Earl Grey Lavender Artisan Tea while hubby ordered his all-time favourite, Crossiant Aman (caramel) and a cup of (heary) cuppucino. We also ordered a takeaway of 2 additional C.Aman since they are having a 3 for $10 promo for C.Aman and plain Crossiant.
It was already noon when we completed shopping at Robinson. Initial plan was to head to Crawford Street for the Kway Chap but there was a long carpark queue (will visit and recommend next time). So 2nd plan was Serangoon Gardens Hawker but no carpark lots so headed to MyVillage (nearby) and opted for Bakerzin for their lunch sets.
Hubby ordered a 3-course meal consisting of Salad & Arugula Salad, Mummy’s Chicken Curry (+rice) and Iced Tea while I ordered a 2-course meal consisting of Pesto Linguine and Iced Tea.
Personally, I did not favour the Mummy’s Chicken Rice as the sauce had a “coarse” texture but overall, it is pretty unique since they added lemon grass and ginger which is not the norm ingredients for curry. I like my pesto linguine, especially with sundried tomato, black olive, pinenuts and olive oil.
This is a new menu so can give it a try. If the main course is not to your liking, why not give their wide variety of pastries a try?
