Over one of the weekdays, I was watching this Korean variety “Running Man” episode 186 which started off with a gourmet game. In turn, it tempted my palate for Bibimbap. Thus, I decided to attempt bimbibap for the first time.
It is really a simple and healthy rice meal with lots of vegetables. You can actually improvise according to your preference.
Sunday is always Family Day, so we have lunch at Ding Tai Feng (鼎泰丰), which serves Taiwanese chinese cuisines. They are well-known for their “18-folds” Xiao Long Bao (小笼包）which apparently earn them the Michelin Star award.
Here are our choice of dishes for today:
Stir Fry Spinach 菠菜
Chilli Oil Dumpling 红油抄手
Noodle with Vegetable & Pork Dumpling 菜肉馄饨面
Chicken Broth 元盅鸡汤
The food are freshly hand made, prepared upon order which makes it worthwhile to try. No reservation is allowed so do go down early to queue. Waiting time for table and food can be very long during busy crowds, regardless of weekdays or weekends.
Ladies are always fans of dessert, especially chocolate. Thus, we had dessert at Max Brenner. Ordered a Crystal Sugar Churros Fondue which allow the guest to choose 2 types of chocolate dips (dark, milk or white), accompanied with 6 pieces of Churros (coated with sugar cinnamon).
It was simply delicious and portion was appropriate to be shared among 2 persons.
Since we were at Raffles City, the husband bought 3 Kouign Aman from Tiong Bahru Bakery for tea break.
What a great day with non-stop feeding on good food!!
