Anti:dote has been highly raved about for their classic “Cosmetic Dessert Box” by many magazines and friends who have patronised anti:dote. As a lady, how can I resist beautiful things?

Beautiful things are meant to be shared with good friends. So I visited them on 24 March 2015 with my girlfriend, Candy Tan & later joined by the husband after his meeting. Finally managed to take a photo together for our 2nd high tea session but apparently, an “uninvited” guest was in the background somehow.

Classic pinkish utensils to begin with.. Oh! What a girly thing!! How can any ladies not be attracted to them?

You can choose either Coffee or Tea from a selection on the anti:dote menu. Each guest is entitled to 2 cups of Coffee or Tea (which they will just refill the pot with hot water).

Petit Desserts consist of Strawberry Gateau, Limoncino Napoleon, Cappuccino Comtessa, Framboise Lychee Macaron, Red Cherry Rose Ball, Karukera Chocolate Mirror Tart, Chocolate Pralines & Chocolate-dipped strawberry.

  

Sandwiches consists of:

First Column     : Confit duck rillette, foie gras terrine, pickled onion

Second Column: Smoked salmon, lemon and dill cream cheese, ikura roe / Egg Mayo

Third Column    : Iberico ham quiche, mozzarella, black truffle / Preserved Capsicum

Forth Column    : Boston lobster roll, confit lemon, chervil

Fifth Column     : Coronation curried chicken, apple

** Guest Relation Officers noted that I was pregnant so they actually inform the chef and changed 2 (Second & Third Columns) of the sandwiches with raw ingredients to fully cooked ingredients for me. That’s really a sweet gesture!! Good Job!!

I would recommend anti:dote bar located at Fairmont Hotel, Level 1 (Raffles City) for a relaxing afternoon tea with your girlfriends and boyfriends. However, I’d insist on making an advanced reservation by calling them at 6431 5315 or emailing them at askus@antidotebar.com as their afternoon tea are prepared in accordance to limited quantity to ensure quality desserts. Therefore, you may be “rejected” for afternoon tea, not seating should no reservations be made.

Hope you have enjoyed reading and viewing the photograph of the classic petit desserts as much as I have enjoyed them at anti:dote bar. I am trying to do a weekly recommendation of places that I have visited for your reading pleasure before delivery (less than 4 weeks) as it would mean a month of confinement with very “heaty” homecooked food, not recommended for the ‘faint hearted”.
