Restaurants & Me | Wild Honey . Lady M

Being a full time mother does not mean you cannot have fun. It is important to get some social contacts with your family and friends who you have missed, especially during pregnancy or during busy periods with the children.

I have a neighbour who enjoys food as much as I do. So we would organise high tea and/ or shopping spree once a few month to give ourselves the deserving break from our busy schedules with children/ work.

Today (18 June 2015), as planned, is going to be a day of eat, shop, eat, shop ( makes me miss traveling overseas).

Since we would be going downtown, I decided that we should do brunch at my personal recommended All Day Breakfast Restaurant, Wild Honey πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ located at Scotts Square (Level 3). They have another branch located at Mandarin Gallery Hotel.

What I like about Wild Honey is its extensive menu of global breakfast choices, good enough to create “indecisive syndrome“.

“Would you like to start with a beverage?” said the waitress.

“Of course!” So we ordered a spice tea (for the neighbour), cappuccino (for the husband) and mellow melon (for Me).

Especially after this pregnancy, I love fish dishes. So my order was Norwegian Salmon Breakfast.

Smoked Salmon, Avocado, Grilled Asparagus, Poached Eggs, Broiche & Hollandaise Sauce 😘😘😘

Simply Delicious!” said Chef Mummy Tan.

As I was deciding between the Nowegian Salmon or European Breakfast, the husband “sacrificed” his English Breakfast so that I can have the Best of 2 Worlds ( Ops! Breakfasts I meant 😜😜😜)

“Who can resist a perfectly cooked Poached Eggs along with SautΓ©ed Mushrooms, Parma Ham, Broiche & Savory Hollandaise Sauce?”

The neighbour ordered I ❀️ NY to satisfy her craving for salmon, “Preferably Raw” as she would say.

I honestly wonder why is bagel & cream cheese such a “perfect marriage“?

Each meal portion may seem average but it is practically maximising the feeding capacity (according to the husband).

For the ladies, there is always room for desserts (despite being pretty full).

We had our shopping spree at Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya) before heading to tea at Lady M situated at Orchard Central (main goal).

Simply looking at the menu is already so tempting. What’s worst is their open concept preparation showcase located at the entrance.

Now I can understand why there is such a long queue even on a weekday afternoon!! Especially ladies waiting to satisfy their sweet tooth!!

Hmm… What should we order?

There are 2 sections of seating area. Due to having a baby pram with me, we opt to sit at the long table, opposite the preparation showcase.

Most of the ladies would order about 2 slices to share (among 3 persons) but since their pastries look so tempting, we decided to have some self-control and ordered… …

5 slices instead of everything on the menu 😜😜😜

I cannot wait to dig into those delicious looking pastries. But look at the queue behind me!! The guests waiting in line must be “drooling” while waiting!!

πŸ‘ Chocolate Mille Crepe*

One of the signature pastry that comes in original (vanilla), green tea and chocolate*.

*only available at Orchard Central Outlet

πŸ‘‹ Strawberry Shortcake

πŸ‘‹ Tarte Au Citron

πŸ‘ Strawberry Mille Feuille πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

πŸ‘Ž Very Berry

The pastry crust was too thick and cream was too little. Lack of different texture so πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž.

Ginger Soda (for the neighbour) and Iced Earl Grey (for Me).

They do serve entrΓ©e & appetisers, other than pastries.

They have 2 other outlets at Marina Square and Fullerton respectively.

I had my sweet tooth satisfied and hope it gave you a good insight into some good dining places in Singapore.

That’s all for today. Do continue to stay tune to Chef Mummy Tan’s social media platforms via WordPress, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and/ or Google+ for more food adventures!!
